International Gathering in Defense of Life
Corn, Water, Territory, and Mother Earth
What is the purpose of this gathering?
We are collectives, organizations, social movements, and webs of networks that have autonomously convened to share our organizational and community experiences in resistance and alternative approaches to the struggle to defend life, territory, Mother Earth, corn, and water. This is in response to the violence, dispossession, and aggression we have encountered across our diverse territories.
We are coming together face-to-face, body-to-body, to enhance mutual understanding and reinforce our interconnected social fabric across local, regional, national, and international levels. This fabric is woven through shared struggles for life. Our aim is to achieve a just, dignified, and fulfilling existence for everyone.
Together, we are seeking the most effective ways to weave our alternatives against the systems of death. These alternatives are already being developed within each individual, family, territory, organization, and struggle.
